Neohumanist Education Network (NHE-N)

The Neohumanist Education Network of early childhood, kindergarten, primary and secondary schools, institutes, colleges, residential care centers and other educational projects, spans more than 50 countries with over 1000 institutions established in the past 50 years.

What is Neohumanist Education?

Neohumanist Education (NHE) is based on the holistic philosophy of Neohumanism.  At its core, Neohumanism is ”the practice of love for all creation including plants, animals and the inanimate world.”   This universal love leads to a deep appreciation for the ecology of our planet, sustainable living, and a just social and economic structure.  Neohumanism was introduced and developed by the Indian philosopher Shrii P.R. Sarkar.

While firmly rooted in the philosophy and principles of Neohumanism,  NHE's methodology is flexible, creative and culturally sensitive. Neohumanism honours the unity in diversity that is the sum of human consciousness. This has important implications for the way classrooms and curricula are structured.

At NHE schools and institutes, all aspects of one’s personality are developed,  based on a layered understanding of human consciousness - physical, mental, emotional, intellectual, aesthetic and spiritual. The integrated curriculum empowers the student to know oneself and develop the confidence, integrity, self-discipline and empathy to utilize knowledge for serving society.
